Antique French Sterling Silver Wine Liquor Decanter
by renown Parisian silversmith Boin-Taburet, 1873-1900, in excellent condition!

Antique French Sterling Silver Wine Decanter
with magnificent array of elaborate decoration. This upper part including handle and lid is wholly made of the finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity. The pattern is intricate Rococo style, C and S shaped scrolling and
rocaille
scallop borders accentuated with grape vine and fruits. One of the main attraction of this gorgeous decanter is a large masque of Bacchus on lower part of the spout - also known as Dionysus, Bacchus was the Roman god of agriculture, wine and fertility.
What's extraordinary here is that also the crystal has matching hand-etched decoration of Bacchus masques. It is extremely hard to execute such a work, and it is done with masterful attention to every details. You will appreciate the workmanship that went into this beautiful piece. The interior part of silver has
vermeil
finish (gold-washed over sterling silver.) Hand-engraved monogram on where it covers spout, probably MJ, with intricate interlaced letters.

Excellent Estate Condition
with minor sign of light use. Some light scratch marks commensurate with age. The lid opens and closes perfectly. Please refer the detail photos I added.
