The Life and Art of Jerome Tiger by Molly Babcock and Peggy Tiger (1980, Hardcover) - Signed by son, Johnny Tiger Jr. and wife, Peggy Tiger (1985)The Life and Art of Jerome Tiger
This book is a great resource for any Jerome Tiger fan and the most complete reference book for his art. His career was tragically cut short, but the number of his drawings and paintings are astounding. Although most of his paintings are in museums or private collections, his widow managed to include photos of most, if not all, in this large volume. It has a great deal of his work in it, as well as information about his work and life.
The quality of this book is outstanding: very heavy paper, large print with good color reproductions of Jerome's paintings and drawings. The story of Jerome's life is recounted by his wife with startling detail.
The book has been out of print for a while, the dust jacket is in poor condition, however it has protected the book cover, which looks almost new. Binding is strong and intact. Pages are slightly yellowing around the edges, but not bad considering the age. The signatures of both his son and wife were personalized to original owner, with a lovely sentiment from his wife Peggy.
