Vintage Casey Cuch Hopi Sterling Silver Native American Concho Belt, Signed

Description

This vintage concho belt was designed and made by Hopi silversmithl Casey Cuch.  It consists of individual conchos linked together with rings to form a 39 1/2 inch belt.  The method used was overlay and each concho has a design that portrays birds of myth, feathers, and symbols traditional to the Hopi tribe.  The belt is signed Cuch and has the mountain stamp, as well. It is, also, marked sterling. It is very heavy, weighing 393 grams.  Each concho measures 1 3/8 inches by 1 3/4 inches.  Dates from the 1990's. Beautifully executed with precision design work.  It can easily be adapted to a smaller size.
